FAQ
Exactly what is SportsOhio?
It’s a 100-acre sports park that’s home to Soccer First (indoor & outdoor Soccer); Field Sports (indoor & outdoor Football, Baseball, Lacrosse, Field Hockey, Birthday Parties, Volleyball, Sand Volleyball, Soccer and more); and The Golf Center (year-round driving range, 9-hole Par 3 course, and FootGolf).
Was SportsOhio sold?
The City of Dublin is acquiring 243 acres from Steele Land Company, which includes SportsOhio, Shepherd Excavating and Carter Farms. Per a Management Agreement, SportsOhio will continue to manage the facilities in a manner generally consistent with current operations for a period of up to one year following the finalization of the sale. This period will help ensure a smooth transition for SportsOhio patrons.
Are Soccer First Leagues going to run in fall 2024?
Teams are welcome to rent space at Field Sports for weekly pick-up games as space allows since we are not able to run 2024 fall leagues (October start date) at Soccer First due to staffing constraints. We do hope to be able to open registration for the Winter session (January start date). We are diligently looking to fill our vacant positions, so we can offer our patrons the same programs they have grown to love. We will keep all current customers notified via email, and we will also update the soccer page on our website as soon as we have additional information.
Are the go karts, batting cages and mini golf open?
Unfortunately, since the COVID pandemic, Power Play (which is the facility that houses all of these attractions), has not been able to fully re-open. Mini golf and batting cages were able to re-open in 2021-2023. At this time, this facility will not re-open but will be part of the City of Dublin’s evaluation for future uses.
My children are 3 and 5 years old. What can they do at SportsOhio?
We offer other programs that require pre-registration. These include Little Champions, a developmental program starting at age 2 offered at Field Sports, soccer programs starting at age 6 at Soccer First, baseball starting at age 5 and football programs starting at age 5 at Field Sports and golf camps starting at age 5.
How do I register for programs?
Online registration is available for programs at Field Sports, Golf Center and Soccer First. Online payments can only be processed with credit cards.
We accept MasterCard, Visa and Discover cards.
Is there an age restriction at The Golf Center?
Yes. Golfers must be at least 5 years old and be able to use proper golf etiquette and respect all rules properly. This means that each golfer should be able to replace ball marks, divots and be courteous to all other golfers. Failure to do so may result in removal from The Golf Center without refund.
Are there any walk-in or drop-in programs at SportsOhio?
The Golf Center is open to the public. Please follow the links for current hours. We also have Open Play Days at Field Sports on select days throughout the year (including most school holidays & occasional Fridays). Anyone who wants to play on available courts & fields is able to do so during these times.
